E-magazine Nr22 - Interview Bakery Manager Monica

Tell us a little bit about yourself
Hello, I’m Monica and I am 27 years old. I’m from Poland and I moved to the Netherlands in 2016. In my free time I like to travel with my husband. Before I started working at Coffeelicious I studied social care.

When did you start working for Coffeelicious?
I started working for Coffeelicious on the 15th of September in 2016. I started out doing the dishes in the Wijnstraat shop. After that I worked in the kitchen and later on, I became an assistant manager. In the end, I became shop manager and now I’m working in the bakery.

How did you discover Coffeelicious?
I know Coffeelicious because my sister in law started working here. I liked the service, so I became interested as well. From the start, it always felt like home when I walk into one of the shops.

What are your favourite work-related activities?
I like baking and being creative.

You used to be shop manager at Wijnstraat, now you work at the bakery. Why did you decide to make that switch?
Baking is what I like the most. I wanted to focus on baking, and I like to learn from Joan.

You’ve been working in the bakery for a few weeks now, what is your favourite and least favourite thing about working in the bakery?
I mean, everything is perfect so there’s nothing I don’t like. My favourite thing in the bakery is the space that we have. I like to create things and here I have the space to do what I like the most.

What do you miss the most about your work at the Wijnstraat shop?
I miss my old colleagues and contact with costumers, speciality the regular customer. And of course the best coffee ever.

Which Coffeelicious dish or drink is your absolute go to?
I like cheesecake and cappuccino. I’m an avocado lover and the panini kip is so delicious.

What are your favourite activities to do in your spare time?
I love make-up and watch a lot of make-up tutorials on YouTube. I also love gardening.
